Sometimes I just want to curl up on the couch with a hot drink and watch a movie without having to think too hard (RoboCop 2). Other times I want to watch a movie that will have me theorising on what I watched for days to come (Donnie Darko). And other, other times I want to watch a silent, black and white film that features a shit ton of hardcore nudity. Wait, no I don’t. I never want to do that. Why the hell am I even watching these two movies, Mondo Weirdo and Vampiros Sexos? What enjoyment will I get out of them? Nothing, that’s what. I know there is an audience out there for this type of stuff, but boy, am I not one of them.
The “plot” for Mondo Weirdo, which honestly, I have no real idea was about, has a girl getting her period, going to a dive bar, watching two lesbians chow down, and finally having a bunch of waking nightmares about cock sucking, throat slashing, mannequin crying and eggs being crammed up vaginas. Imagine if Rob Zombie’s music videos featured a bunch of black and white hardcore porn. That my friends is Mondo Weirdo. The only positive I can sling towards director Carl Andersen’s Mondo Weirdo is that the music was pretty awesome. All props for that go towards Model D’oo.
Next up we have Vampiros Sexos, and I will be straight up with you. The movie runs 68 minutes long, and I managed to get it watched in roughly 15 minutes. It is yet another black and white silent film from Carl Andersen that has something to do with tainted olive oil and vampires. We get more hardcore sex, and the film runs on for 67 minutes longer than it should. Obviously, this movie was not meant for my tastes. I do like boobies, though, and this movie has a ton. Also, lots of cocks.
Cult Epics has released the two movies on two separate discs, one a Blu-ray (Mondo Weirdo) and one a DVD (Vampiros Sexos). Why one movie deserved the Blu treatment and not the other, I have no idea. Both of them are so rough around the edges and limited in runtime, they probably could have shoved both on a Blu and called it a day. The remaining disc is a CD, which provides the only positive thing about these two movies.
Hey, you! The one who is sitting there with his or her junk in his or her hand, questioning why there isn’t enough silent, German pornos. This one is for you! Have at it!

PLOT SUMMARY
Carl Andersen’s films are the European answer to the Cinema of Transgression of Richard Kern and Nick Zedd, except more extreme, eccentric, surreal and erotic. MONDO WEIRDO: A TRIP TO PARANOIA PARADISE aka JUNGFRAU IM ABGRUND wallows in gore, splatter, and dark comedy and is set in an underground world where both vampires and punk rockers engage to the highly addictive and hypnotic electro music of Model D’oo. Dedicated to Jess Franco and Jean Luc-Godard and featuring Franco’s own daughter. Shot on 16mm stock, presented in a new High-definition transfer.
VAMPIROS SEXOS aka I WAS A TEENAGE ZABBADOING… is Carl Andersen’s debut film and is one of the weirdest movies ever, and it will certainly shock your mind. VAMPIROS SEXOS is the ultimate European underground punk rock erotic vampire film. Stylish and trashy at the same time in the best sort of way, the film also features an endlessly entrancing no-wave score by Model D’oo. Cult Epics presents the rare only existing SD version.
WHAT’S SO DIRTY ABOUT IT? Bonus short film. Cut-up trance noise nihilistic short film, reminiscent of the work of Throbbing Gristle and Kenneth Anger. SD
