First up is the novelization of Child’s Play 2. This is a pretty sweet find and I’ve been searching for it for quite some time now.

Synopsis: Once there was a doll named Chucky who did naughty, wicked things. Like murder.

But
Andy and his mother killed Chucky. Killed the madman whose deranged
spirit possessed the doll. Killed him once and for all.

That’s what they think.

Andy’s in a foster home now. His mother is undergoing psychiatric treatment. And Chuck…?

The
toy makers decided there was nothing wrong with the doll. So they
rebuilt him. Now Andy has more reason than ever to fear for his life…

Chucky’s back – and he wants Andy’s soul.

Next is another novelization, this time for Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. I have Temple of Doom already, so I saw it fit to pick this one up as well.

Synopsis: The world’s greatest adventurer is back!

This
time, Indy’s on a rescue mission: his father has gone missing on a
quest for the Holy Grail, and Indy must put the clues together to locate
him. His exploits put him on his father’s trail, but treachery isn’t
far behind. Soon, Indy finds himself walking right into a trap, and
he’ll have to team up with his father to make it out alive.

I’m a sucker for haunted house stories and this one looks to be like quite a good read.

Three nights of terror at the house called Edbrook.
Three nights in which David Ash, there to investigate a haunting will be victim of horrifying and maleficent games.
Three nights in which he will face the blood-chilling enigma of his own past.

How cool is that cover? A collection of American ghost stories. You couldn’t ask for a better buy (especially free).

Synopsis: Twelve supernatural
tales by American writers. Marion Crawford, “Ligeia” by Edgar Allan Poe,
“Consequences” by Willa Cather, “A Ghost Story” by Mark Twain, and
eight more tales of spirits by Nathaniel Hawthorne, Edward Lucas White,
Frank R. Stockton, Henry James, Edith Wharton and more.

We have yet again another novelization. Constantine the movie was much despised by a lot of people, mainly due to the fact that Keanu Reeves was hired, but I actually enjoyed the movie quite a bit and I look forward to checking out the book.

Synopsis:  Hidden from mortal eyes are the angels and demons that coexist with
mankind…supernatural beings who seek to influence our lives for better
and for worse. Amoral and irreverent renegade occultist and paranormal
detective John Constantine is blessed and cursed with the ability to
interact with this secret world. When Constantine teams up with
skeptical L.A. policewoman Angela Dodson to solve the mysterious suicide
of her twin sister, their investigation catapults them into a
catastrophic series of otherworldly events — even as the forces of Hell
conspire against Constantine to claim his immortal soul….

Another Star Wars novel. This time it’s book 3 in the Darth Bane Trilogy.

Synopsis: Twenty years have passed since Darth Bane, reigning Dark Lord of the Sith, demolished the ancient order devoted to the dark side and reinvented it as a circle of two: one Master to wield the power and pass on the wisdom, and one apprentice to learn, challenge, and ultimately usurp the Dark Lord in a duel to the death. But Bane’s acolyte, Zannah, has yet to prove herself a worthy successor. Determined that the Sith dream of galactic domination will not die with him, Bane vows to learn the secret of a forgotten Dark Lord that will assure the Sith’s immortality–and his own.

Zannah knows that her ruthless master has begun to doubt her,
and so she prepares for his downfall, plotting at last to wrest from
Bane the title of Dark Lord of the Sith. Zannah pursues her Master from
the grim depths of a ravaged world to the barren reaches of a desert
outpost, where the future of the dark side will be decided by the final,
fatal stroke of a lightsaber.

I really enjoy Brian Keene’s novels, ever since reading his zombie novel The Rising. Since then, I’ve been hooked.

Synopsis: Haunted-attraction
designer Ken Ripple has designed his masterpiece, the Ghost Walk, a
trail winding through the mysterious woods of LeHorn’s Hollow. He
doesn’t realize that the woods are truly evil and a gateway to hell has
unleashed a real demon.

Well that’s it for another edition of Hump Day Happy Deals. You can look forward to next Wednesday for even more great finds.
