For some insane reason, I had the Are You Ready For Freddy song stuck in my head today and I had to watch the music video, or else I would go crazy. After giving the video a watch, I thought it would be a great idea to share my insanity and write up a quick article showing you guys/gals some classic horror movie music videos. So, sit back and get ready for a crazy musical ride…
A Nightmare on Elm Street Series
The Elm Street series was hugely popular in the 80s and Freddy Krueger became a household name. So, becoming extremely popular meant the series needed some rocking 80s music videos. So, let’s see what we got:
The Fat Boys – Are You Ready For Freddy
Why Was I Born (Freddy’s Dead End Montage)
Whodini – Anyway I Gotta Swing It
DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince – A Nightmare on My Street
Dokken – Dream Warriors
Friday the 13th Series
As far as I know, only one music video came out for the Friday the 13th series and it was for Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives. I guess the nonspeaking Jason Voorhees didn’t lend well to numerous rap videos.
Alice Cooper – He’s Back (The Man Behind the Mask)
Hellraiser Series
Once again, only one video for the Hellraiser series and much like the last two, it was when Pinhead started to become a household name (Hellraiser III Hell on Earth).
Motorhead – Hellraiser
Just for Fun!
MC Hammer – The Addams Family Groove
Well, that’s all for now folks! The 80s and to some extent, the 90s, was an awesome time for horror movies and the amazing music videos that came with them. I only wish we would’ve got more! If I did forget some, please comment below and let me know.
